After last Thursday's medical, I found out yesterday that I've been put in the support group.
I finally feel that my suffering has been taken seriously. And the back pay was handy too lol. My E S A has gone up as a result. Just gotta get DLA to open their eyes to fibromyalgia now. X

I've been on DLA for years, and two years ago was bumped down from middle to low rate care, and given low rate mobility. I recently asked for a review, listed all the ways in which fibro affects me on the form, and yet, no change. Maybe I should ask them to look again, in light of the decision made by ESA. Pip hasn't been rolled out for reviews in East Sussex yet, only for new claims. X
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Congratulations, I think this is wonderful news, and I just want to say, well done!
I'm knackered from two days of shopping, but I'm happy. The back pay has meant I've been able to buy some essentials for myself, my daughter, and grandsons (my daughter found out on Thursday she's having another boy). So things are really looking up. Thanks everyone for your support. Fingers crossed that we all get that recognition. X
Hi, brilliant news, i have also just gone into the support group after being in wrag, even my support worker said I was in the wrong group! I like many have other problems but although I got a letter saying that the ESA is going up they have only paid back pay to 5th march when I had my medical? I filled the forms in last august and was overlooked until I rang to say I was having an operation in December, they then sent 3 dates for the medical but kept cancelling? My daughter is also expecting a baby, would have been lovely to treat her x I am also filling in DLA forms as they went off previous atos medical to just give me low care rate x hugs x
Hi,I got put in a support group also & all I can say is don't expect too much.i hope yours will be much better than mine.mine was trying to teach us to have rest periods etc etc but pain didn't get mentioned at all which is what I also wanted help with.
Maybe they'll give me advice on which size rubber Mallet I need to get a good night's sleep lol. Got a feeling I'll get advice on diet, and trying the morphine again. X
Well if u get any tips on diet, please share!!! i saw u are from East Suussex,i am too.I new on here and cant believe out of all the ppl on here i found someone from East Essex :))))) xxxxxxx
Hi sarah .. well done I too am awaiting my tribunal date as I am in the WRAG and should be in the support grp can u give me any idea how long the medical is etc Thankin you
If the examiner decides not to do the physical, it'll only take about 20-30 minutes. You can tell them if you are in too much pain for the physical, and they cannot force you to do that part. The examiner who saw me decide before I said anything that I wasn't fit for the physical, and immediately put me in the support group. I hope things go equally well for you. Gentle hugs. X
