Could possibly be a TIA. Get it checked out ASAP; can't do any harm and it will set your mind at rest. xx

Hi dear gins, I can completely understand your concern and I agree with panda, it might be an idea to get him to the doctor tomorrow, or if he starts showing the signs of it happening again before then, then ring 999, they are always happier to come out and check than not to and it turns out to be a real problem.

I'm sending lots of positive vibes your way :-)

Hi Gins, hope you are both ok today. I agree it is better to get it checked out, just to make sure nothing is going on. Let us know how you get on. Sending healing ((hugs))

Hi gins, it may be one of those transient mini strokes or something. Best thing to do is make an appointment asap with the doctor and get some answers. At the very least it will put your minds at rest and best , prevent something more serious from happening if the doctor finds a problem.

Gentle hugs to you both.

Hugs

Hi gins

I genuinely hope that your other half is feeling more like his self now? I can understand that this sort of thing would alarm you, and it would probably be best if he discussed the issue with his GP as soon as possible.

I have done this but only when I am half asleep, and you never mentioned this being the circumstance? I hope that everything checks out and that it was just one of those things. Please wish him luck from everyone here.

all my hopes and dreams for you

If it happens again, then you need to dial 999 and get him to hospital at once, as soon as the gibberish starts - any other symptoms such as weakness down one side, face drooping, etc - treating a stroke with anti-coagulant therapy needs to be done immediately or it is useless, that is what happened with Andrew Marr, he had signs one evening and he went to bed instead of going to hospital. Sometimes you can have a warning of stroke, like a temporary stroke called a transient ischaemic attack, but if hubby is having these, then a future stroke is a strong possibility. If he is not talking gibberish today, then get him to the GP today, if he is talking gibberish or has any other signs, dial 999 and do not hestitate to do it immediately. If he is about to have a stroke, then he needs to be treated URGENTLY if he is going to have a full recovery.

Dear gins, I'm so sorry, this must be such a worry for you. A similar thing happened to my brother-in-law who went to the doctor and had some tests done. In the end they decided he had had a mini epileptic fit brought on by stress. It was some years ago and he has been fine since then. It might be something similar with your hubby, but I do think he definitely needs to have it thoroughly investigated. Thinking about you both and wishing you all the best, Mim x

Hope that both of your are doing great? Just dropping you a line to see how your other half is now? Did it go well at the doctors?

I do hope the doc was able to help and give you some reassurance, or at least refer him for further tests.
