Hi all, I know most of you are young things, but does anyone listen to the archers on the radio? What do we think of Rob, too good to be true?

Hi wildwoman,

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you can be today? I must admit that I have never listened to the Archers, as I am not a big radio fan. However, it clearly gives you a great deal of pleasure and therefore I am so sorry that I cannot answer your question, as it would have been wonderful to be able to enjoy the moment with you.

All my hopes and dreams for you.

Hi nedd

I can honestly say that I cannot actually remember when I last listened to the radio? I suppose that is a bit sad actually? It has got me thinking but I cannot remember?

Take care my friend

You Are missing one if life's joys not listening to the radio.

I jump from station to station depending on my mood.

Music is a must. And I get most of the news from the radio.

You don't listen to it in the car. How do you endure long journeys?

Hi nedd

I love my music so I pay for downloads and so the radio isn't really in the equation I am sorry to say!

Take care my friend

Take care my friend

I've spent the last 40 years trying to discover whether you put on the jam first or the cream on your scone. I'm still trying to find out. Quality control can be soooooo hard :P

wildwoman profile image
wildwoman in reply to fenbadger

It depends on which part of the country you live in, Devon does one way, but I,ve forgotten which xxx

fenbadger profile image
fenbadger in reply to wildwoman

Hehehehe. I don't really want to find an answer. If I do I'll have no excuse for research but don't tell my diabetes nurse :P :P

The Kitchen Cabinet on R4 did an item about this recently. :)

Foggy might be able to tell us. I think it's jam first and over the Tamar it's cream first. My local Tesco sells Dartmoor cream so I guess I'll have to do it that way.

A recent TV program came out with the assertion that we (and other animals) like product that is half fat half sugar. The cream tea fits the bill perfectly whichever goes first. Again don't tell my diabetes nurse :P

Shall I be really baaaad and ask "is it scOWN or scON? :P :P

I like starting debates. :P :P

wildwoman profile image
wildwoman in reply to fenbadger

Oh for goodness sake fenny, it's scOWN, I think you,re just wanting to do more tasting, what with you and Ken,s biscuits, what shall we do? Xx

fenbadger profile image
fenbadger in reply to wildwoman

Incurable I'm afraid. You found me out. Pleeeeease don't tell my diabetes Nurse. You won't have time to confiscate all cakes and scowns :P

Hi wildwoman

I sincerely hope that you are as well as you can be today?

I went to the supermarket and I have a confession to make, they had jaffa cakes, bourbon creams and chocolate hobnobs all half price, so I bought a packet of each!

I now have to make them last a week, not a chance!

Take care my friend

If Rob was with Jess that night, where was he when that meeting was on. Helen does pick 'em doesn't she. :P :P

I don't trust him. He seems the type to leave a trail of broken hearts. What's he got that I don't

wildwoman profile image
wildwoman in reply to fenbadger

He,s got honesty, and I don,t see you as a smarmy lying toad! Xxx I do wish Tony would stop whining!

fenbadger profile image
fenbadger in reply to wildwoman

Hehehehe. Tony lost a lot of confidence when he was ill. Does Rob have honesty. We know he's already lied to Helen or is Jess lying? Cant wait to find out tomorrow. I usually have to catch up but not every week. Where was Rob when he should have been in Essex? Still unsure about him. It's a good story line. Did you see Ruth on Countryfile?

wildwoman profile image
wildwoman in reply to fenbadger

Oh no, what does he look like? Xxxx

fenbadger profile image
fenbadger in reply to wildwoman

Nothing like her radio persona, neither does Tim Bentinck as David. He was on a soap opera a couple of years ago. Debbie (Tamsin Gregg) is nothing like my mind paints her. But then the picture in my head is better than the one on TV. Phil Archer was in Desert Island discs and said he had a "tall voice" but was only 5' 5" or 6". Lynda Snell looks like my Caroline. :P :P :P

fenbadger profile image
fenbadger in reply to wildwoman

Ps. you're right. I might mix fiction with truth for our stories but I see no future in being a toad. Smarmy Badger maybe? No. You have me pinned down. :P :P :P 'nite Flower. x

I still can't decide whether Jess is the psycho or Rob, but either way it's all going to end in tears. I'm not happy about a lot of things, but since that SW from EE has joined the ranks, the storylines are somewhat haphazard. I just hope that they don't "use" Henry in some sordid way, it's bad enough that they made a whole big deal about Bethany being Downs and then just dropping her story line. #putsawaysoapbox .....

(Yay - Archer on here :) :) :) )

fenbadger profile image
fenbadger in reply to Spirit

Hehehehe. If Foggy's kidnapping and the fibrolympics are anything to go by then fibrarchers should be great. I want to give up work just to have enough time to join in :P :P

Well, Jess has every right to do the "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" bit.

Kids, hmm. They lost a few listeners when children got voices. :)

I'll just stay in character and give Tony's new herd TB shall I?

wildwoman profile image
wildwoman in reply to fenbadger

Oh do let's do fibro archers! Yes you give the herd TB, and I want to be Ruth, so I can walk about saying oer noer at regular intervals ... But, just realised I,ll have gill archer to stay so back to the drawing board! Xx

wildwoman profile image
wildwoman in reply to Spirit

Hi spirit, yes, I wondered what had happened to Bethany, but not sorry to see the back of Vicky, she drove me mad OTT all the time. They.ve had some strange old storylines along the way, what,s happened to cathy of the golf club, or R oy and Hailey, dark doings in the script writer,s office! X

fenbadger profile image
fenbadger in reply to wildwoman

It must be a challenge for the writers when someone wants to go off and do panto or something at a crucial part of a storyline. I'm busy this week so cant join in if you do it in the next few days, but I can leave some spores around. . . :P

fenbadger profile image
fenbadger in reply to Spirit

Hehehe. I get sarcastic when people wind me up enough so I started saying things like go to getalife.com. Then I discovered there really is such a site. Keep cake hole shut now Kills 2 birds with 1 stone with that. Don't pinch Ken's cakes either. :P :P
