Hello and welcome to the the club I`m sorry that you have this horrid illness. but you have come to the best place for information, support and friendship. Have you been onto the web site yet? It`s a good place to start with lots of info on any thing from symptoms to benefits. just go to the top of the page and click on the yellow butterfly.. see you later sue
Hi there, I'm fairly new and very grateful to be part off this community, warm welcome to you.
Hi TONIANDBUZZ
Firstly, welcome to the forum and I sincerely hope that you find it as useful as I do? And I really hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today?
I was wondering what medications you have been given to try? And have you been given any referrals to a pain management clinic and / or Rheumatology etc? Most members say they have referrals of this kind to help manage their illness. Many also go to physio as this can help.
I think that we are all unique individuals, so what works for one person may not work for another. So please do not feel despondent if your medications do not appear to work straight away as you may need to try several differing combinations.
Good luck with this and I sincerely look forward to bumping into you around the forum.

minus something ken?
I think I really have lost the plot tonight! xxxx

Thank you all for welcoming me, I have tried all sorts of meds, such as the usual, pregablin, tramadol, venlaflaxine, I also suffer with high blood pressure and have a degenerative disease, I have been registered disable, and now have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.......I have had mri scan, been refered to stoke Mandeville hospital for spinal injections and pain clinic, and nothing has been succesful, I am now on morphine, I keep crying in so much pain, no sleep. And im only 44
Oh, bless you hun....welcome anyway!! This fibro thingy is awful isn't it?? And you have certainly had your fair share of meds and investigations. But this page will help no end, I promise you. Everyone here experiences the pains, problems etc, associated with fibro, and there's always someone who can advise, help or just listen when you want a rant. And believe me, I've had my fair share of rants!! But there is also humour, fun, and laughter. It never fails to lift my spirits and I really hope you find the same. XX Sue XX
Hi TONIANDBUZZ
I am so sorry to read that you are suffering so much at this time. I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to your situation.
Please take care of yourself and if you ever need anyone to talk too please feel free to PM at any time and I promise I will always get back to you.
All my hopes and dreams for you.

Oh, that's awful. I have no useful comments really but in some ways know how you feel. 15 years ago - about your age now I had a prolapsed disc. Treatment was bed rest and spinal jab. The latter was useless. Only time and gentle exercise really helped. Then I had a similar jab in my knee. 6 months later it had to be replaced and the jab only lasted as long as the local anaesthetic with it. overnight. It was supposed to last 3 months - if only.
This is a great site. Most of us know when to be serious but we have a lot of virtual fun too, keeps the mind occupied. We don't have a cure but we have compassion and fellow feeling.
Looking at what you say about yourself, are you in any other groups? I am, but hardly ever go there, this is by far the best.
Gentle hugs
Welcome indeed. I've just had my 2 months anniversary Ok I know you can't have an anniversary under a year but I know what I mean.
The girls have turned me loopier than ever but it's great to have someone to bounce ideas off and to find decent information. I hope you will find the site as helpful as I did.
Gi Toniandbuzx welcome to the site. Its very helpful and its nice to be amongst people who understand you. Feel free to ask questions or just chat about how you are doing. X
Welcome to this lovely friendly, if but occasionally nutty site, but you couldnt be in a better place, full of friendly helpful people xx
