Hi there. I was prescribed Pregabalin by a locum GP some time ago. Various things were tried and when I retorted that they all knocked me for six and my pain was neuropathic he replied how clever I was and hence Lyrica. Must confess I didn't take it for long. This was before my Fibro diagnosis and if required in the future I'd give it a go. Escitalopram I know to be antidepressant, closely related to Citalopram. Unaware of the last drug, is it spelled correctly? I think efficacy of medication is a very individual thing (have worked in health and care all my adult life) so only you can really say what is beneficial to you.

Hi sudu, I didn't get on with Pregabalin at all because of the side effects. I have however been on cipralex (excitalopram) for some years now and have found it very helpful. The other drug you mention is to do with lowering cholesterol, which fortunately I don't need. If you are having problems with any of these drugs, please speak to your doctor, we can only give our own experiences here, and your doctor is really the person who knows your history so that is important.

Wishing you the very best :-)

thank you very much for all these reply. yes, when I checked in the internet it says gain weight as a side effect with Lyrica. I already have this problem before start it. So I am bit worried weather I will take it or not. Perhaps it connected to my stress coming from my husband, baby etc... I was a very active person and now not able to have a small woke with my son. I am still 37. How long I should go?

Hi

Pregablin is a very good good pain medication

Unfortunately it's the side effects that are not so

Good weight gain, and it's hard to come off, but

It's very very good, so you have to weigh up what's

Best for you it's a very expensive drug and it's good

For fibro

Sorry I don't know about about the other medication

Hi sudu76

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you can be today? I have never taken any of the medications that you have listed. However, my wife has MS and she takes Pregabalin daily and it appears to benefit her. Although she has complained that she is gaining a bit of weight whilst using this medication.

I sincerely hope that you are getting the information that you require from all the posts that you are receiving?

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken
