Following a particularly bad 36 hours, racked with pain, hardly able to speak or walk, in addition to my ZOMORPH I have been put on LYRICA , initially 25mg twice a day.
This. is my 3rd day - totally free of pain! Coincidence? I would be interested to know the experience of others with LYRICA. I am keeping my fingers crossed but so far I am delighted. This is my longest pain free period for years.....
Kind regards to you all, HADES.

I am 350mg day after managed to reduce from 450mg day.huge struggle with horrendous side effects to try wean off it.yes it does help with pain but makes me dependent on it and spaced out.you accept anything to feel comfortable thou and hope you will be. only small dose you are on so probably you will be fine
Hello 'danmdan' - I take 30mg of ZOMORPH every 6 hours, backed up by 2 PARACETAMOL which are supposed to help the absorption; I would be lost without the ZOMORPH ! I hit Flareups with DIAZAPAM 2mg up to 3 times a day which are quite effective. I tried PREGABALIN some years ago but it didn't agree with me. Before I was put on LYRICA I took NORTRIPTYLINE 10mg but it was not particularly effective. I will see how I get on with the LYRICA. I am aware of the nasty side effects from large doses so I do not intend to go down that route!
Is your Zomorph taken every 6 hours according to your Doctors prescription or your own idea ? - my GP prescribes 60mg every 12 hours - so you are taking the same quantity as myself over 24 hours, but in 4 portions instead of my 2.
But my Zomorph effect just does not last the 12 hours and I have great gaps of discomfort between one 12hour pill and the next.
Yes, That was the advice from the Hospital Pain Clinic. I take it at 0800,1400,2000 &0200 - I'm generally awake at 0200 but I set my alarm for 0300 in case I'm not. I can appreciate your dose effects wearing off only taking it every 12 hours - find it begins to wear off after 4 hours. I think you would be better on a six hourly regime. Good luck.
25mg is a very lose dose of Pregabalin. The typical dose for Fibromyalgia is 150mg twice a day, although some people like myself find 75mg, four times a day works better for them. Pregabalin is licensed for Fibromyalgia pain. You can find out more on NHS Choices
I do hope it continues to help you. That was the dose I was started on and then slowly increased. Initially I felt awful on it but was so desperate for any pain relief I stuck with it. Unfortunately, I can't stand the higher doses but the 125 mg a day does help with the burning, zapping pain I was consistently getting and the muscular painnhas decreased from where it was before. It is one drug I wouldn't be without.x
