Hi, I do, I know exactly what you mean! And even worse is that I've had to move back in with my parents having lived alone for 20 years, and they make me feel awful about going to bed in the daytime, or lying in. I could just about switch off my own worry of what needs doing, but thinking that if I rest, I'd get twice as much done, whereas worrying would mean less likely to achieve anything. Now I just spend my time waiting for my bedroom door to open so someone can have a go at me, or reel off a list of what needs doing.

I think the best remedy is probably putting in place what your other post suggests...virtual Olympics! Then you'd only worry about game plan and tactics xx

Yip I sure do almost everyday x

Hi there wildwoman,

I do this all the time. In fact I've done it just now! I went for a rest, and started thinking of things I must do, and before I knew it I was wide awake & now I'm online writing this! Ah well, I suppose the intention was there. We'll have to start some meditation techniques.

Time without number, is the answer here, and once the brain kicks in I can't stop it, I then have to do whatever is worrying me. It's only after ignoring the need for a rest for too long that my body finally kicks in makes me lie down, either by delivering a migraine or a muscle spasm, my pain clinic physio is always urging me to listen to my body , which I know I should but sometimes it's easier said than done.

Oooo er missus.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Nearly asleep - a victory itself - and I get up , switch on laptop wait for it to wake up, forget why I did it, go back to bed, five or 10 mins later do it all again. No wonder I don't sleep properly, but it's my own fault. It's not just the guilt, I really do need to do something. I can only delegate to me. Then do you get the thing by the time you've done it there's no time for a rest? Oh moan, moan.

Are you like me Foggy, just don't listen? :P :P

Hi all, I don't think any of us listen to our bodies do we, I often lay down then suddenly think of something I should have done, and feel guilty cos I'm laying down whilst everyone else is at work...hugs...Dee x

Hi wildwoman

I sincerely hope that you are as well as can be? This is a real hobby of mine! I am so sorry to hear though so many of us are doing this and not getting a quality sleep time.

All my hopes and dreams for you.

Hi there

Yes I do it all the time! Worry just seems to be part of the fybro makeup.

I lay awake worrying about having to take the nap, not being able to do things as I used to! And more than anything what people think. I suffer from lupus and fybro & know all the jibes that can be thrown at you!

Best advice!!!!! Try to rest, the world will take care of itself! Accept help when it's there as you do need it,and with some luck you may awake feeling a bit better????

Hi there WW

Not anymore!!

I used to all the time but now I choose to listen to my creaking popping body and do as I'm told. It comes with time, it's difficult to adjust to a slower pace of life and to prioritise chores etc. Delegating is difficult also> my husband used to take the mickey for a long time thinking I was just being horrible to him or punishing him by asking him to do something for me, and also, my friends thought I was just being lazy!!

I started off by making a weekly rota with realistic daily goals including chores, relaxation time, meal times social time etc. after a while it slowly becomes routine. I must state that it is best to mix the tasks for variety so as not to be doing the same type of thing all day and also to break tasks down into smaller tasks. You may find you will have 3 or 4 shorter breaks instead of 1 really long one and it helps to break the day up.

I hope this is useful for you and sending you masses of warming healing fluffies
