Interesting question. I don't know but certainly worth you phoning to find out (won't effect anything if you do).

If you find out, let me know xx

As far as i know your dla will continue until your pip kicks in.

Hi jane59

My wife was receiving DLA due to her MS, and when she was invited to apply for PIP her DLA continued constantly until her PIP award was completed. It was a smooth continuous payment without any breaks.

I want to wish you all the best of luck with your PIP claim.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

That is to say they haven't back dated the increased payment , It would seem to flow straight on one to another however.

So are you saying P.I.P. Pays more than DLA ?

yes pip now only as 2 rates on care where as dla had 3 rates on care , since moving to pip they have done away with the lowest rate care , hence why I asked if you are to still get the care part would it be backdated

I am not sure I was only on mobility and I have now moved to full disability so it changed for me :)

If you are on DLA and they move you to PIP then it has just changed in name and conditions so while you have been paid for DLA the move should not entail back pay.

From what I understand, they are starting on indefinite dla people from this year, there is a web site, from the dwp/dla that if you put in your details they ask for it will give you some information about the process relevant to you.
