I find the early hours are the longest everyday, I think because it is so dark and you can no longer sleep, you hurt and it doesnt matter where you put your self it doesn't go away. I am usually about from 5.00 on wards but try and get through reading up on every one. It is better after second coffee and the morning light breaking even though it is so grey. Soon time for breakfast and getting up. Speak to you all later xgins

have been up most of the night, am very tired but it no good going to the dr, he says i should get out more, my legs are very red and painful, have been reading most of the night when i can concentrate, my grandson has been a great comfort to me, he is always ready with hugs,, am getting ready for xmas, even if it hurts i will always love his hugs. i enjoy a nice cup of tea around 4 am, days are longer but what can we do.

Morning when you say your leg are very red do you mean crimson red and slightly swollen and do you have a temperature. When did you see a doctor?

just above my ankles are very red and sore and my feet are always swollen, and my knees are very painful, the dr said it is ostio arthritis, and i have fibromyoligia, dibetic, and i get awful migraine headaches, and i tend to fall alot, i wear a button around my neck so i can get help quickly, i saw my dr last week and to be honest it was a waste of time because all he did was hand me a script, did not look at my legs even though i told him i was very sore

Hi Gary

Sorry you are struggling.. And yes it is worse at night.. And what long nights they are!!

If i do have a " good" night and fall asleep.. I wake up a few hours later due to pain aches weird dreams needing the loo!!!.. Or ALL of the above!!! Soak in the bath, fluffy dressing gown chocolate and gentle stretching ( sometimes helps me.. Even if the pain doesn't go... By that time, it's morning!! Lol) x

Gary ,I have had this horrible disease for many a long year and what I have found is the minute you know your going to have a flare start taking pain relief every four hours for a few days ,it really helps stop the flare becoming worse than it needs to be.Hope that helps .

Like you hunni I hardle get any sleep. Nice to meet you by the way.

I tend to go for a week or more with no sleep, but I have many ongoing liflong illnesses so I cannot just blame the fibro even if it does play a huge part.

As the years go on you tend to get used to it and it becomes second nature to pull a few involuntary all nighters

I wish you well
