Hi there, you have my full sympathy on this one ShaneD, I think you really need to see your GP as soon as you can, as there can be many causes and really on a medical professional can make a proper diagnosis.

I have osteoporosis and have recently had another compression fracture of L4, my pelvis is also causing pain, and a vertebrae out in my neck, I'm wearing a back brace to support my lower spine and pelvis and having injections of calcitonin for the fracture......life is such fun ..... ;-)

Wishing you all the very best and hope you can see you dr for an appointment very soon. :-)

hi Foggy, sorry to hear you are in pain with your back and having to wear a back brace, must be difficult for you. Earlier on in the year, my back went into violent spasms and had to have the doctor out for injections, it was really painful. I hope you feel better soon.

This is a huge problem for me which I get sorted by my massage therapist. When I see her she often says I'm out of alignment (sometimes one leg is longer than the other when I lie down on her couch) Once she has done a few resistance stretches and remedial massage techniques on me I usually feel better. Mind you since I fell recently I'm not bouncing back like I usually do. But do try remedial massage first.

Hi, sorry to hear you are in such bad pain. I am wondering if you struggle to breath when this happens? I also suffer from this and have found out that the chest walls spasm and press on the lungs which causes the pain in my side and when I breathe. However, still get it checked out to be on the safe side. Good luck, Amanda x
