Hello Mazz64,

I understand that feeling I was the same but once you realise how much it helps and how much more you can achieve by saving a 'spoon' it'll be fine ! Think how it will help with the Christmas shopping although don't forget that online shopping using Give as you Live to raise funds for FibroAction ! lol :)

Hi there Mazz I too felt sad that I had to apply for the blue badge, actually it was orange when I first got it, I felt sad because I felt I was giving in, but then like Emma says after a while you realise just handy it is and that you really did need it, anything to make life a little easier for us eh!! ...gentle hug...Dee x

Hi, thank you all, I'm sure it will make shopping easier, so that will help a lot.

Emma, no not tomorrow I have GP appointment early morning and going to the hospital after that. I hope you all have lots of fun.

Hugs xxx

Glad that you got it, though understand how you would have mixed feelings, I'm presuming blue badge is the same as disabled parking here in Ireland?

Best of luck too tomorrow at the GP's and hospital

Hi Mary, yes it is. Thank you, I don't mind the GP visit as he always run on time, but the hospital is a different matter as I'm sure its the same at home, waiting hours past your appointment time. xx

Well I have had a great news I am getting my Blue Badge!!!!

As some of you know I posted earlier that they were wanting me to do an assessment in January 20th 2014 before they would issue me another badge even though my old badge ran out in December 18th 2013. I Called the BB Team to ask if they could bring it forward so I would not be stuck in my house until then. To have a very nice lady call me back and go though a whole list of questions and commented on my shortness of breath while talking to her. She then closed with I will now need to speak to her supervisor to see what they think and will get back to me about moving the appointment forward.

Today I got a letter stating I will be getting my Blue badge in the next 10 days :) But nothing about the appointment?

So on the phone I go to speak to another nice person who managed to find me but nothing about the appointment with the assessor and then asked to call me back. Customer service manager for the Blue Badge team called me back and her first words were "Sorry" It transpires that I should never of had the letter in the first place and do not need to go. The stress this has caused for no real reason, is at least over for now :)
