Not good. Poor you. Your doc sounds sympathetic though. I was on Lyrica but doc took me off due to chest pain and palpitations. It wasn't helping with the pain anyway but due to see rheumy in a couple of weeks so maybe will get something else. Have gone back to work on reduced hours after being off for five months although my symptoms are just the same. Doc thought it would be good for my mental well being but I am really struggling physically. Hope the increased dose will help and you get back to work soon. Take care.

Aww I'm sorry you are having a rough time, but in one way it so good that your dr wants to sort out your pain meds properly. I know it must be hard for you if you usually work, but I think you must just out yourself and your health first, just for a while. I found that lyrical didn't work for me, and changed to other pain meds, but it does work very well for some people, once the correct dosage has been achieved.

Sending healing thoughts your way :-)

Foggy x

Hi Huskybike. Not good hearing you arent doing well, but thankfully you seem to have a doctor who is willing to listen and help. I am also on Lyrica. Like you, I had to resort to a walking stick and hardly work at all. However the increased dosage of Lyrica was my best friend! I was everntually put onto the highest dose (300mg in the morning and another 300 at night). It made me feel (almost) like my old self. In fact I increased my hours at work too and have coped perfectly. If you arent feeling the difference on the higher dose, go back again or see if something else will work better for you. Don't suffer if you don't have to.

All the best! CB

Hi, I was on Lyirca but it fried my brain and didn't do much for the pain, once I started make mistakes in work I came off them, rather deal with the pain with a sharp mind, but I'm finding it harder to work full time, I have tried most of the meds but they all just numb my mind, I don't sleep well and have pain most of the time in my hands, feet, thighs and bum,and very feed up of not being my old self. x

Hi pauline15 yes I've tried Amatryptaline as well was on it for five years, had enough of it, was symptom free for 3 years now back where I started being high as a kite and feeling drunk !! I work part time as cant do full time but its still a struggle as I have to ride my bike 2 miles to work and 2 miles back just want to win the lottery lol
