Bleeding in the breast area.

Hi everyone,

I'm still finding things out everyday which affect my illness. Both the Fibro and the M.E. I wanted to ask a sort of personal question. I've started bleeding from my breasts. It's happened a couple of times now and I did see my doctor and she said if it gets worse then go back, but it cleared up. So its returned and its bothering me. I've made an apt to see my GP on monday but I wondered if anyone else had this or a similar problem? Thank you in advance for all of your help.

Hi there,

If I were in your shoes, I would be back at the dr's tomorrow and get a referral to a breast care unit. I think something like bleeding from the nipples needs attention promptly, not to frighten you, but just to make sure you get to see someone who can tell you exactly what's going on. Bleeding like that is not normal, so I wish you all the very best and hope to hear good news from you very soon.

Yes, I agree, I am surprised they didn't send you immediately. Good luck, and I hope it is nothing too serious XG

I have to agree with what everyone else has said, get your doc to refer you, best to get these things checked x

You must always get any problems or changes in your breasts looked at immediately. That being said I have so many cysts in my breasts and what looks like a very sludgy brown blood mixture that doesn't clear in my breast that the breast clinic are more than happy to leave me with. They could not give me a reason as to why I have so many cysts or breasts filled with this yuck and didn't really know what to do. I have to have the cysts drained when they get too bad but that is all that I get offered :o)
