Am currently reading this book by Sue Townsend & am really tempted to try going to bed & refusing to get back up again. I showed the book to my hubby & he laughed & said no. But it's soooo tempting! Anyone else read the book/wanted to just go back to bed & pull the covers up over your head & ignore the world?

Oh me too esp this week,it's been very trying! I get that a lot in winter but then again so does everyone else when it's cold and miserable! I love the sun and couldnt lie in bed when the sun is out! I like a good book, will have to look out for that one! Jackiex
My daughter does it all the time if and when she can .I am a bit tough on her as I don't like her spending her life in bed ,she is only 18 and such a little thing and fibro has made her so fragile.
Staying in bed sounds lovely, but it is not good for us.
It's OK for men, but women have evolved to be able to do a full day's work, no matter what the circumstances, so no shirking girls!

Heehee - I'n not at all sexist - I actually like men very much indeed
Doesn't stop me having a laugh at their expense, tho', and I can take it as well as dish it out!

I spent 5months in bed from Nov 2011 till May 2012 it was awful. It was the start of my fibro and I suffered from vertigo and just could not stand up....All I did was sleep, I knew it was wasting my life, but I could not help it.....I am a little better, but I do get very tired so easily.Would not wish this on anyone.

I seem to spend most of my life in bed which gets me really down.Iam 39 but feel like Iam 69.I do love my bed even before fibro, but when Iam really ill I get so fed up of being in bed and not being able to achieve much x
I like my bed, but lying in too long makes me very sore and achey, so I have to get up and move about. It's a mercy really, or I would become far too prone to lying in bed.
I sleep very badly during the night, tho', and tend to drop off into a sound sleep when I really should be getting up - I think my body clock needs adjusting, but I can't find the instructions!

When I first got Fatigue Sydrome I used to sleep for 18 hrs a day and never got hungry....OH used to sit me up to help me drink a milky drink. This lasted for about 18 months...then I saw a Keneseologyst ( not sure spelt right ) and he found things that were pulling me down...one of which was water in plastic bottles and food wrapped in it and Carrier bags. I cut them out and in a month was much better. This improvement was so good it gave me my life back at the time x
Wish it was that easy now !
