The proudest mum.

As many of you know I have a teenage son with aspergers, who plays lead guitar in a band ..tonight it was his school year 11 awards ceremony . His group were playing there which was great then they started presenting the awards ... My son won musician of his house group and I was proud.... Then he won musician of the whole of year 11 and that's when I lost it and cried with pride...., I don't care what happens life just doesn't get any better than this moment....

That's so wonderful - there's nothing to beat that feeling when you cry tears of joy. Keep the moment, as the Americans say.

Well done Dillon, and well done to his loving mum and dad! :) :) :)

U always think ur own kids r great but 2 c others recognise this makes us the proudest mums ever. Iv tears of joy in my eyes reading bout ur son, I have 6 yr old granddaughter who was diagnosed this time last yr with aspergers. Not knowing anything bout it at time and hearing horror story's that she will never amount 2 anything r do well at school (until I joined group on fb which contradicted all that) it's lovely to hear such heart warming story. I'm sure ul have big smile on ur face now and quite rightly so. I don't even know u r ur son but I feel proud of his achievements and it gives me so much hope now for my own granddaughter xx

Thanks Moffy.... :) nannaanna.. Never give up if you had seen our son at 4 and now at 16 ... You wouldn't know it was the same child.. He has made it through mainstream school .. It wasnt easy at times with his social problems but now he has his music and is going on into 6th form to do music performance , music technology and IT
