Thank you I,m on pregablin and MST at the most neither of which is helping at moment seem to have been in a relapse for past year
I have fibro and problems with my back. I've had steroid injections and root nerve block injections. Unfortunately these only lasted approx 2 weeks - other people have felt their pain was improved for a year. It just depends on the person. I've had the injections done three times now.
I've been back today and we've discussed my medication. I've said I can't cope with the level of pain and asked what else I could try. I'm already on Fentanyl patches so they increased this to the highest dose and discussed what else could be added. It's better than just asking your GP, I think they're sometimes wary about increasing pain killers. The consultants specialise in pain so are very switched on when it comes to medication.
They can also offer a course or counselling aimed at helping you deal with the pain.
Anyway, ramble over!
Good luck
