Does anyone know if you can take these together? I realise they are both antidepressants but one being a tricyclic and the other an SSRI I was wondering if you could?

I think you really need to ask your GP's advice about this - or ask your pharmacist. These are both powerful medicines, and you don't want to take any risks!

I totally agree with ladymoth. I have a feeling that they should not be mixed but best to ask they are powerful meds taken duloxetine for a time made me a bit tired. So Do ask think it important.

I was told by my GP that fluoxetine and dosulepin do not go together after one of my rheumys put me on fluoxetine .. My GP promptly took me off it ... I imagine duloxetine is in the same family as fluoxetine so I would check with you GP as soon as you can, to be on the safe side

Oh yes, I would have to ask my GP for the prescription, but was just wondering if if would be silly to ask!!

One could work better for you than the other it's just what's suits ... Dosulepin was the 4 th one I tried. Been on it two years now and I can't imagine not being on it as I get sleep and I am only on half max dose ... And it is still working as well now as the first couple of weeks of being on it... Good luck
