took about 2 months for me they rang me this morning

Hi

How long is a piece of string? it's impossible to say as it can vary so much, I didn't have a medical but was migrated over from incapacity to ESA and it took 5 months, other people have taken only days, some have taken weeks, it depends on how busy they are etc. Sorry not to have been more help.

thanks...I was turned down originally when I applied last Nov, so wrote and said I didn't agree with their decision so they said they'd look at my claim again then at the end of March I had a phone call from someone dealing with my claim who asked me lots more questions and said i'd receive the decision in the post then 2 weeks ago had a letter saying a health professional would contact me about a visit...that visit from the dr took place last week in my home, so now I guess its just a waiting game!!

Hi

Well I hope it goes well for you, good luck. I know many areas are still experiencing backlogs so I guess it depends on how busy they are and how long the DWP take to make their decision. Atos only do the medicals and prepare the reports, it is a decision maker at the DWP who has the final say. What a job!
