I have had fibro for 14 yrs now and seems to be getting worse esp in my neck, but I still don't understand why when u have done more thn you should and you ache soooo much the next day, why I feel so damn tired, what's happening inside. Does anyone have neck probs and do you get migraines with it like me, also I feel lumps down my side and back of my neck.

Hi Littlejan, I too have problems with my neck and have lumps down my neck. I often get migraine headaches too. I see a chiropractor every few months and she relieves the tension in my neck and advises stretches to help. I do feel horrible the next day before I feel better though. I have just been to my Gp because my symptoms are getting worse. He sad that memory and motor difficulties are not related to Fybro. I'm waiting to have some bloods done a see where we go from there.

Everytime I get bloods done they come back negative, I'm they think I'm making it all up. I believe too that memory is to do with it, online everywhere on fibro sites they mention fibro fog. What I meant was that the more I ache the more I feel tired, and I am planning on seeing a chiropractor.

I have started to get neck pain. It is travelling up from the upper back across my shoulder and into my jaw. It is definitely caused by the slightest difference in activity levels. I put it down to shortening of muscles and their wasting because of chronic pain. I am beginning to get it more and more. I always feel much less able when it strikes.

I would definitely run it past the gp. Good luck. Lets hope the bugger hasn't come to stay. See if you can stamp on it. Stamp stamp,

Hi littlejan

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to your issues.

I understand exactly where you are coming from with this. I try to do as much as I can, and even if I pace myself I still really ache and feel so tired the following day. I am going to talk to my GP about this when I see her again. I was wondering if you have spoken to your GP? If so, what did they say to you?

I also suffer with chronic migraines and take co-codamol for the pain and Metacloperamide for the nausea. I have recently had a spell of very nasty cluster headaches which I think were a result of all the low pressure we have been experiencing. Do you feel susceptible to changes in air pressure with your migraines?

I am sorry but I do not know what the lumps could be that you are suffering with. I think I would check these out with your doctor if I were you.

Take care and please keep us up to date with how you get on.

Hi little jan, i know exactly what you mean. Im lying on the sofa eith arms wrists fingers and legs feel like on fire eith pain because i ovverdid it yesterday. My neck has always been the worst part of fibro, i had 2 car crashes and it damaged it permanently. I have to avoid a lot of things as they triggrr neck pain , even simplest things like shopping. As looking about involvrs moving your neck and can trigger migrsines. I also have migraines every month for up to a eeek at a time. I am currently having bowen treatment which i find very helpful in unlocking the knotted muscles in my neck also massage it very helpful. I also practise deep breathing to relax to stop me getting tense and bringing on headache/migrsine. Hope this is of some help I know how hard can be , good luck sharon
