painful ovaries?
Hi. So sorry to hear that your recent IVF cycle has failed. The dull aching pain you are experiencing is most probably due to all the “poking and prodding” of your ovaries during egg collection etc. You will also have some drugs still milling around in your body which won’t help. Make sure that you drink plenty just in case your ovaries are still trying to produce follicles. It will be safe to take some paracetamol for the pain too. However, if it does continue or you become breathless at all, you must go and get checked out with your GP. Hope all soon settles back down for you. Kind regards Diane
So so sorry this IVF attempt didn't work - when you are ready, please read the success stories for encouragement and check out the "Options" page on my website and consider what the next best move is for you.
Dont give up! and eat well!.

Hiya sorry to hear your sad news. When mine failed nobody told me I told about the pain I would experience afterwards and that I could take painkillers like brufen and paracetamol. When you have Ivf treatment they tell you you can not take certain painkillers but they don't tell you is that you can when it fails. It is very painful when it all comes away due to all the drugs you have had and the cyclogest etc. You may find your monthly cycles will be a bit all over the place for a month or 2 after aswell.
I hope you will keep in contact with us all on here and wish you well for the future especially if you decide to try again.
