Hey all,I'm giving up on Flo having paid for it for years. I find the 'information' so repetitive each month. It ALWAYS gets my ovulation dates wrong despite me having entered 2 years of data 🤣
Any recommendations for any apps to track periods and/or ovulation? It feels a little like a waste seeing as I'm infertile and won't conceive naturally but I've liked having somewhere to note my cycle dates and if there's a decent product out there I'd like to try it!
TIA 😘 xx

Hey! Hope you’re ok. I use Flo. It is quite repetitive. I’m not sure if you have a fitness tracker such as a Fitbit, but you can also use those to track menstrual health. They have that functional with the Fitbit app x
I suppose it depends how accurate you want it to be. If you want it pretty accurate then you’d really need to use test sticks (like the Clearblue ones) and input the fertile days in on an app (any standard one, like the iPhone health app or something) xx
I find natural cycles pretty good, does get repetitive too, but I find it pretty accurate. Costs about £60 for the year I think and included the Basel temp thermometer too x
I gave up on natural cycles after using it for a year. It can be quite emotionally exhausting having to input your temperature every morning. You are starting your day thinking about ttc and that can be really tough.
Mira ovulation tracker. Helped me get pregnant naturally after 2 failed ivf cycles. Gives you a 7 day fertility window. Gives an exact lh surge number. Confirms ovulation. Facebokk group for it where people put charts up and comment on their hormone levels which helps you understand the science of it all. I also used fertility conception cups x
I found the Premom app good ( free) or paid you buy the Lh test sticks (Amazon) and it measures your exact cycle based on that which is far more accurate.
The only downside was when I became peri menopausal it didn’t know what was going on as my LH was high all month!
Yes that's the issue is I'm using ovulation tests and I'm ovulating generally 11th day and despite updating flo it always says day 14 which isn't helpful!! Decided it's not worth paying for both in that case xx
I use two ways of tracking and most of the time meet in the middle of the data which works out perfect (confirmed with progesterone blood test 7 days after ovulation). The device I use is Ovusense Core which you wear inside your vagina just before you sleep and take out when you wake up in the morning, it takes a temperature every 5 minutes whilst you sleep, removes any outliers like when you pee and then gives you the average temp which you just download through Bluetooth on your phone! I think I paid £60 for the device and 1 month of tracking, then it’s £20 a month if you want to pay by month or they do much more reasonable prices for the year/ lifetime etc! I also use the easy@home lh strips to tie in with my temp.
Clearly something is working because funnily enough we’ve been pregnant 3 times in 4 months after 3 years of infertility and IVF in 2022 but my progesterone is low so I’m miscarrying. It’s crazy how just being in sync with your cycle really does help so it’s worth looking into ❤️ good luck! X
That's so helpful thank you and I'm so sorry to hear about your losses, it's the worst thing to go through. Sending lots of hope and luck for the future xx
Hi - I bought an Ava braclet second hand off eBay (Ava app has so subscription cost). I wear it at night to record my temp and confirm ovulation. I put the temp data in the Premom app which is free. I also use LH test strips to test when I am going to ovulate. You take a photo of them in Premom and it charts the data. Super easy to use and then LH strips are cheap off Amazon.
Hi, I used to pay subscription for Flo but for the exact same reasons as you I stopped. I found Pink bird more accurate,(using the free version) I ‘ve used them both in the same time and Pink bird was spot on my ovulation day whilst Flo always two days later.
