A Question About Cyclogest

Hello ladies, I’m just wondering if anyone experiences the same thing I do after inserting cyclogest

So when I do that I notice it dissolves and then some of it drips out like period does, I don’t know if it’s normal because am worried of it actually working while is drips out.

And as a pregnant woman there’s no way I won’t take water or even pee every 20 to 30mins.

pls can someone tell me it’s ok and it actually works with all I experience after insertion. Thank you …

Totally normal. Cyclogest only needs 20 minutes in if inserted vaginally, the rest is hard fat that will leak out. I do the following, sorry if TMI:1) morning and midday, insert rectally and then I don't have bowel movements for an hour.

2) night, vaginally, put panty liners, lay down for 30 minutes and let my husband sort out the kitchen 🙂. Then I will stand up and need to go to pee naturally and that's when the excess will come out But in the meantime it's been absorbed!

yes i have the same when i go the toilet after. I was told not to go the toilet after for an hour if possible just to try and give maximum absorption time. Appreciate pregnancy increase urine output but holding for an hour should be possible, can you try to drink less the hour before usage and go right before you use it?

I insert it rectally too (3x a day) and no issues. I started with lubion injections and crinone gel and my progesterone on day of transfer wasn't as high as my clinic wanted it so they added the cyclogest rectally. Nothing comes out until you empty our bowels.

you have absorbed the hormone after 20mims of lying down with it in vagi ally it’s just the wax coming out during and after that. You can wear a pad or tissue for the 20 minutes. I normally do them at night before bed or in the morning before shower which helps with the mess. Also I did not pee more often when pregnant until maybe the last fortnight (when there was no room for my bladder) and even then it was still 3-4 hours between pees so don’t worry about needing to get up in the 20mins to pee 🤗 all perfectly normal as swimming87 says! X
