Usually it's done vaginally, have you specifically been told to use it rectally?

Hi Hopeful16. My tips would be, if you can, have your bowels open before you insert the pessary. The drug is absorbed during the 20 minutes after insertion by the lining of your rectum, and any waxy leakage is just the stuff it is mixed in. How about using it at 7.00am and 7.00pm?? It shouldn't make you want to go to the toilet, and should be taken at regular intervals. Try not to worry, I'm sure you will get used to using them sooner than you think. Good luck! Diane

Hi. Well done, I'm sure you will be fine. I've been away due to a family bereavement, but hopefully will be back to normal hours on Monday 23rd January. You can always email me from them in confidence, if you prefer, to support@fertilitynetworkuk.org if you think I might be able to help at all. Thinking of you as always. Diane

It's so odd at first, but you do get used to it! I even managed to do it at a wedding, and a restaurant!! My advise is a little bit of lube will really help, and try not to think about it too much!! Xx

No it's fine! I used pre seed but only because that's what I had, I'm not sure you'd want anything fancy!!! Or just standard KY also did the job!

Good luck with it! Xx
