So I got the okay to go ahead with my frozen transfer on Wednesday (transfer is next Monday). Not ever got this far before so am in new territories.
I’m on day 3 of taking Cyclogest twice a day 800mg total) and at first it was okay but now I’m getting the worst dull ache in my right butt cheek (only thing I can compare it to is sciatica). It did go earlier after a dog walk but then came back thick and fast a couple of hours later. It’s so annoying!!
I also feel achy in my womb area too, kinda like AF is coming (I know it’s not as I’m only on day 18 of my cycle).
Are these side effects normal? Anyone else felt like this on them? It’s very unnerving (especially the AF feeling) and obvs your mind goes into overdrive.
If anyone has felt the sciatica feeling how did you help that?
Thanks!!

I’m on my 4th cycle (post FET now) & on 1200mg Cyclogest. I had exactly the same with my left leg / bum on Saturday night to the extent I couldn’t sleep a wink & had to get up & walk around - my leg was flinching / spasming constantly.
Ordinarily I’d try & stretch out any aches, but I’m paranoid about compressing sensitive areas. In the end I took paracetamol because I felt like I was losing my mind.
I think symptoms are wide ranging & varied - and we fixate on every. single. thing. These meds have a lot to answer for 🤪
This forum is an excellent source of and support 🙏🏻
Stay hydrated and good luck with your transfer - I’ll be thinking of you.
They really do, I know we need them but fuuuuuck is it hard haha. You’re on so much more than me so am in awe of you getting through it!!
Yeah I’ve been doing some gentle stretches (fertility yoga) which has helped relaxed me but not sure if it’s helping the bum aches. Walking is the only thing that does it so far.
Thank you that’s very kind. I hope you get the results you want on OTD!
Every time before a FET I’ve had the feeling AF is going to come due to the meds so I think that’s quite normal! I’ve never had the leg pain sorry. Good luck to you 🍀 xx
Ah that's good to know! Think the bum pain is unique to me but it seems like everyone gets some slightly different side effects. I also keep getting paranoid I have a sore throat as well but I think it's just the progesterone xx
I am on FET No 2 and both times the progesterone makes me feel like my period is coming and gives me the same type of cramps. Hang in there and try not to overanalyse (easier said than done!), it's normal!
I'm still on cyclogest. Can't wait to stop. Still a couple of weeks to go. Anyway, for me I cannot tell anymore if all the symptoms I have are from cyclogest or from the pregnancy but let's put it this way: I don't feel my usual self. Stay strong and rest as much as you need.
