FET Prep - Natural or Medicated?

Hi all, after a number of cycles and 2 failed attempts, I’m now preparing for an FET. Couple of questions please:

My consultant has advised that my linning is decent each time and to go for natural FET. However following Covid jab my periods are a bit delayed and a lot more heavier. Especially the last one after failed fresh transfer. So I’m thinking go for medicated FET. What do you think?

I’m also looking into getting a massage done to help with blood flow to the uterus. Can anyone advise how many days before I should do this before FET?

Thanks xx

Hey 👋🏼. I’ve just started a natural modified fet. They checked my lining last month at different stages of my cycle because I paid for a scan (good job as I had a cyst) and it was all good and my cycles are shorter but quite regular. I was worried about doing a natural fet but tbh it’s way less invasive. I will only do progesterone this time. If your quite regular and ovulate each month then a natural fet would be the way. My clinic prefer a natural fet if possible but their success rates are the same for natural vs medicated. Ask all the questions and decide together what’s best. Good luck 💕

Hi Fudge, thank you for your reply. Natural does sound like a better idea. I think I’ve lost faith in my body to do what it needs to naturally so relying on the meds gives me one less thing to worry about - sort of. But then again, I hate the side affects. I got some more bloods done yday to check for other things so will see what they come back with. Best of luck with you cycle xx

Hi,I’ve just read your post and wondering what happened in the end? I went for medicated but now I’m not sure I made the right choice…

Hi Sagitaria , how far along are you with it? Unfortunately for me it didn’t work. It turned out to be negative despite everything I did. I hope you have better luck than me and it works for you.

Sorry to hear 🙁 was it medicated then? I called the nurse yesterday. I told her I was thinking of changing it to natural and she said that for me to change protocol I would have to book another video consultation with the doctor which now they have stopped doing them because of Covid…so I’ll do medicated and that’s it. I’m waiting for them to tell me when the coordination appoinment is and hopefully start in Jan.

I did medicated. I don’t trust my body to do what it needs to naturally anymore.. but now even the meds don’t work.
