So I caved and tested a day early following our first DE transfer last Tuesday. I was cautiously hopeful it was positive but I’m not sure how to take the results.
I often have to pee in the night so this was the result only after 3 hours of extra sleep (as I had peed earlier in the night) and I am wandering if this impacts the HCG levels detected? We did an early detection first response which initially looked negative and then on closer inspection there was a faint line and then did 2 further test strips and both have a very faint line. I won’t test again today but do need to test tomorrow as it’s OTD. I feel in a weird limbo but I think only looking at potential progression will tell me what’s happening. It’s the furthest we have ever gotten and I started this journey 8 years ago but really not sure how to feel at the moment.
Wishing you the best on your journey. Xx

Hi. I would keep going with any prescribed medication, including folic acid and vitamin D. Test your first urine of the day after 6 am if possible. It will weaken after. You may have to request a blood test if still unsure. Good luck. Diane
hey can definitely see 2 lines! Hang in there and see what it looks like tomorrow morning. How many days post transfer are you? Feeling hopeful for you xx ☺️
I can see two lines on all tests! Faint but you have lines 🤞🏼🤞🏼 HCG will still be fairly low at 10dp5dt I just googled it and the results (line strength) look the same as yours!!!! Wishing you darker lines tomorrow which is looking very likely 💫 x x x
Hearty congratulations!! I definitely can see two lines. And all the very best 🤗 I’m 10dp5dt today. Going to test tomorrow . Hopefully it’s Positive ☺️
Keeping my fingers crossed for you lovely 🙏🏻 it is light for 10DPT but it might be that the urine is not concentrated enough or it might be that there was a late implantation. I would try and get at least 5 or 6 hours of holding your wee through the night.Sending live your way xx
definitely two lines but being totally honest they are very faint and should be stronger lines by now. HCG should double every 48 hours but hopefully the line will be stronger in 2 days.
I would ask clinic for a blood test asap to be sure of the HCG level.
As it’s the weekend I won’t be able to get any HCG levels checked at the moment and not sure yet if it’s something my GP does but I will check. I will at least retest again on Sunday and hope for slightly more obvious lines and some progression. X
There could be a few different reasons why it’s a lighter line so hopefully all is well and things will progress over the next few days 🤞
I’ll be totally honest that last year I was in a bit of a limbo on otd too with obvious but not super dark lines. In the end it didn’t go well for me but I googled enough stories during that time to know that’s not always the case. I hope that’s not insensitive to share, I just remember hearing ‘it’ll all be fine’ and know how hard it can be when things turn out differently.
But as I said, still lots of reasons to feel hopefully and fingers crossed it stays positive for you and things keep progressing well 😊 xx
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to reply and sent words of encouragement, I really appreciate it. The test line appears to be a little bit darker this morning and I’ve alerted the clinic to this positive result, albeit a little cautiously. Going to test again tomorrow and see if the lines are continuing to go the right way. It’s weird as you always think you know how you will feel if you see the trace of a line but trying my best to keep the faith. Xx
I wanted to provide an update for anyone in a similar situation as it may offer a bit of hope. I don’t know my HCG level yet as just had that taken this afternoon but my tests are looking more clearly positive than just a few days ago so it’s helping to make me feel a bit more encouraged that I just started out with low base HCG.
