One larger follicle at baseline scan

Hello everyone

I was just wondering if anyone had an experience of having a larger follicle measuring 11mm in their baseline scan and if they went ahead with the cycle for waited for the next cycle?

I had my baseline scan and was told I had one larger compared to rest which was measuring 11mm and they took blood to check my estrogen level, now they have come back to say it’s all good and I can start my stimulation medication but I don’t feel confident as I’m worried it may result in either halfway cancellation due to ovulation or low number of eggs after retrieval?

your thoughts would be appreciated🙏

The reason they checked your blood was to see if it was an active [still growing ] follicle The results have shown it is a follicle [ from previous cycle ] that has been a bit slow at shrinking and should continue to resolve[ get smaller ] On next visit ask the nurse to explain the situation to you again Remember if ever unsure of what is happening just ask them to explain it again to you

Good luck with your treatment
