Fewer follicles at baseline

Hello my warrior friends!

Baseline scan went well this morning. Lining nice and thin and just waiting on the results of bloods to see when I start my short protocol.

Baseline scan only showed 7 follicles. Last time I had 11 at my halfway scan (I didn't get a baseline on the NHS). It's a little disappointing but I understand every cycle is different, I just hoped it would be different in my favour!

Hopefully a few more show up for the ride once I start stims!

Hey lovely, that sounds like a great start!

I always seemed to start with a few follicles then more would pop up after stims started - sometimes they are so tiny they can't actually count them.

Last EC I had 6 in total at baseline and ended up with 14 collected - so you just never know.

Oh wow that's a big difference! Yes she did say more might show up. I have low fertilitisation so I feel like I need a little buffer zone for drop off.

Just wanted to update this in case anyone stumbles across it. Halfway scan today showed 11 follicles so the numbers definitely change! Don't panic like I did x

Edit: 15 follicles at final scan and 10 eggs collected xxx
