Cyst found on baseline scan

Hi all

Hope you're all doing well. Had my baseline scan today and they found a cyst measuring 15mm. They've taken bloods to see if it's oestrogen producing or not and should get the results tomorrow. Does anyone have experience with this? If it is oestrogen producing does that mean the cycle gets cancelled outright or do they wait for a week or so and see if it goes down?

Hi Alocins. Usually they drain the cyst, but as you say, they may leave it to see if reduces on its own. One of the annoying things that can happen, but can be resolved. Hope all goes well for you. Diane

Hi hun last year we done fresh cycle and when I went for scan they find cyst on my left ovary. They didn’t cancel the cycle.

They drain the cyst so I was able to start injections. Xx

Hello! I've got a cyst on each ovary, and I've still been able to produce eggs for two IVF cycles. First cycle had to be cancelled for other reasons related to clinic error, but I'm going in for my first egg collection in just twelve hours. Whatever the case with yours it can be resolved and shouldn't get in your way. Hope it all goes well. xx
