AMH decrease / normal AFC

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any experience of their AMH dropping dramatically over time?

Just over a year ago before our last cycle it was 23 however it’s now 5. AFC was 10 this time which was apparently better than last time. For the last cycle we had 9 eggs collected & all were mature (the best egg collection we’ve had out of three attempts), however only one made it to blastocyst (severe MFI) & I had moderate OHSS. The blastocyst wasn’t good enough to freeze so we were forced to have the embryo transfer (negative result). They still don’t know why I had OHSS last time, no one can tell me why as egg numbers weren’t big & the stims dose was standard.

Due to the AMH now being 5 the doctor wanted to increase the stims dose this round but I am worried about this due to the OHSS last time & potentially poor quality eggs (especially as our egg numbers & maturity were the best they’ve ever been last time). We have been to see Dr Ramsey who has done SSR for my partner so hoping fertilisation will improve this time. I’ve asked the clinic to repeat the AMH which they’re doing this week but wondering if there’s anything else I should be asking/considering?

Hi. Make sure your Fallopian tube are patent and don’t risk excess fluid leaking and preventing a developing embryo from implanting. A hysteroscop could check the womb is ok and biopsy the lining. Diane
