Hello all,I have the option of doing a frozen transfer with an embryo (our only one after 3 egg retrievals) that came back as inconclusive in its PGTA test. I am 41, if it makes a difference.
Has anyone ever done this before? I know there's chances it may not even survive the thaw but I'm trying not to think about that just now, cross that bridge if we get to it.
So, yes, any advice or guidance would be great, thank you x

Hi. I’ve seen this many a time, but if little one survives the thaw, then hopefully it will grow om successfully, and be the strong embryo we are looking for. Eat pineapple core and drink plenty of water. I really wish you both well. Diane
They were deemed low quality before freeze (3CC and 2BC), but survived the thaw and the quality improved and this is the one that stuck!
While this is not always the case, I’d ask the doctor to recommend. My doctor was of the opinion based on their 30 years experience that embryos sometimes develop nicely after a thaw, and that’s a good sign too.
Thank you for the confidence, very much needed right now. And so happy for you that it stuck!I think my embryo is a 3B or C, not entirely sure as the clinic uses a different grading system it seems.
I had my phone call with the clinic, the embryo is graded as FB22 which I think is the equivalent of a 3BB. The Dr was very realistic with the chances, 5% it wouldn't survive the thaw and 15-20%, if that, chance of a pregnancy... 😞
that is pretty standard. Any naturally occurring pregnancy has a similar rate of sticking. I would be happy with these odds honestly. Having been through this journey for several years, I’ve learnt that the way the chances of pregnancy is calculated is not per cycle but a total of number of cycles, meaning, cycle 1 is 15% let’s say, then cycle 2 is 15+15=30% and so on. So don’t be bummed!
It’s just statistics and we are not a statistic. Biology is beautiful and it’s amazing what our bodies can do. So trust in yourself and the little embodiment you have and put on your positive pants!
