Hey lovely. Iโve just phoned my clinic with a. Positive ovulation. I asked the question! Itโs day 1 today with first positive ovulation so I am looking at Wednesday transfer. Hope that helps xx ๐
For the life of me I canโt remember if ours is 5or6day frozen embryo. I will have to ask the embryologist when they phone. Thanks for the good luck ๐
Hey lovely. Read my last post. Itโs clearer info on it about transfer days. Mines on Thursday so they class day 1 as one day after positive opk and I am having a 6day transfer. First nurse told me wrong ๐ xx
Thanks! How confusing for you ๐ค๐ผ๐ค๐ผ๐ค๐ผ It all goes smoothly for you. Iโve currently got a flashing smiley face so surge should be any day now ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ so just a few days behind you ๐
Hi Beechnut, I'm not 100% certain, but my impression is that the LH surge day counts as day 1. Also, I'm not positive, but I thought it doesn't matter whether the embryo is day 5 or 6, but they time the transfer to when they think your uterus will be best suited, which is usually day 6 (or 5 days post ovulation if you want to think about it that way). So if you have an LH surge on Monday, they do Sat transfer regardless of whether it's a day 5 or day 6 embryo. I'm not positive about this, but that was just impression I got from my clinic when I was doing natural FET.
The LH surge is the marker when ovulation happens 12-36 hours later. Are you taking progesterone? That usually starts 5 days before transfer so if youโre transferring a day 5 embryo the way to work out day 1 is count back the days 543210 - and 0 is day one (e.g the day the embryo would have implanted)- then you add 2 weeks on to get exactly how many weeks you would be pregnant. I assume thatโs why youโre asking about day 1?
