so I’ve been on progynova tablets (x2 twice a day) and cyclogest pessaries (x3 a day) and have my embryo transfer on the 27th day of my menstrual cycle. Now here’s my question - I understand that progynova will stop my period from coming but normally I would have my period on the day of my transfer (give or take a day), now is this the ideal time to have a transfer or is the lining of the uterus the only the only indicator of a good time for transfer? Please pass on any advice and also the days any of you ladies had your transfers? All the baby dust to anyone looking for their miracle baby! ♥️

FET - what day of the cycle did you have your embryo transfer?
My understanding is that if you're on a medicated cycle, your own cycle is totally irrelevant Just on my first medicated FET cycle and I think my dates will be similar to yours as I had 10 days of down reg before starting progynova.
This shut my ovaries down. So, effectively, I'm not having a cycle, as no dominant follicle growing to ovulate and drive the cycle.
Hope that's helpful but fo check with clinic if you're at all concerned l. Nothing beats reassurance from the people medically trained and running your treatment.
Since you're having a medicated transfer, your cycle day is irrelevant as everything's is shut down. I've always done natural transfers so mine are around day 19 but they have to go off my cycle so it's different. If you're worried though then I would check with your clinic.
First timer here, so not an expert on the whys, but my first FET has just been booked in for next Tues, which will be day 19 of my cycle. I've got similar meds to you, but cyclogest just twice a day and additionally one injection of Lubion a day. Wishing you lots of luck for it 🩷
With a medicated FET the cycle day doesn't matter at all - its the number of days of progesterone that determines the transfer date. i.e. usually clinics will give you 5 days of progesterone and transfer on day 6 to mimic what happens in the body naturally.
Thank you soo much! I literally red up on this in detail Just an hour ago and got the ultrasound answer of exactly what you’ve written, that the transfer is on the 6th of progesterone which is exactly the case for me! Gives me a lot of assurity! ♥️
hi NisaK I am in the middle of preparing for my 3rd transfer and was also worried about the same thing
In my case, I have been on Estradiol 8mg daily since day 1 of my period
Because of how my lining has been developing (not great), we will do one last scan on day 20 of my cycle. If everything looks ok (6mm lining or thicker), then we would transfer on day 24 to 26 of my cycle
After posting in this blog I heard from others that this is totally normal to transfer on day 20+ and have also heard beautiful happy ending stories ! So I am sure everything will go amazing for you !!
Was your lining also struggling to grow? Or were there any other reasons why they scheduled transfer on the 26 day of your cycle ?
