H lovely I normally go to ultrasound direct for my bloods they do different fertility packages on the bloods give them a look and see if there’s one near you
Hey! Do check if you’ve previously had the rubella antibodies (IgG) test done if you’ve done previous IVF cycles (as this is something most clinics test for so you wouldn’t need to test again).
Same for your blood group? Perhaps you’ve had this in the past?
You could also check with your GP about getting a full blood count.
Or check with Medichecks - they should test for most of the above 🙂
Thanks, I have emailed them unfortunately my old tests have expired but they have said I can have some overseas which will save me some! I appreciate your reply 🙏🏻 xxx
Ah fab! I did most of my tests abroad. In my case it was Spain and I saved loads of money so would always recommend doing them abroad if at all possible 😊
hi, you could try CARE Birmingham and ask if you can pay just for the blood screen or ask where they send their bloods unless they have an in house lab?
I briefly had treatment there and they were always very helpful x
I had my previous IVF in Leicester it’s about and hour away so is feasible. I have a few options now but will keep them as another option if needed. Many thanks for the reply!!! Xx
We used Doctors Laboratory in London. It was recommended by the clinic abroad (they also sent a referral directly to DL once we said we'd use them) You can either go to them or have a kit posted to you. With a kit you will then need to find a phlebotomist to do the blood draw and you just post it back. We are in Scotland so we were sent the kit and booked a phlebotomist appointment in Superdrug.
There is also Randox(also kit or in clinic appointments) and have different packages that would cover some of your tests.
Thank you for the recommendation! I was meant to have the tests completed by today 🙈 so I’m in a little rush not sure how long these will take. If I was more organised this would have been a good option. Thank you!! X
Gosh I must have same clinic as I am in the same situation with FET later this month. I am seeing my GP today so hoping they will do it. Many baby scan places do these bloods as well. Good luck 🤞🏽
Thanks! I actually have a scan booked for Friday and checked the clinic who are going to confirm their costs. Thanks for the recommendation. Wishing you all the best with your FET 💫 🧡
Not sure how helpful this will be helpful, but I am doing my treatment in Poland flying back and forth. You could get all those done for around 300 pounds, pretty much in any city. Flights this time a year are around 100. Obviously, this becomes a bit of a trip, but saves you more than a half.
I did think that I would probably be better flying overseas having a few days holiday and the tests and still have cash left! Crazy hey! I have spoken to my clinic who confirmed I can have a few when I arrive which will make it more cost effective.
We went to Cherish in Sutton Coldfield for all our build up scans before our DE transfer abroad, in Greece. They do all the scans and also blood tests, we did our Hcg tests there as well, and they are used to dealing with people who are having IVF abroad, they also can do next day bloods if need be xx
Thanks, I did actually contact Cherish about my scans but went with one in Kings Norton. I have contacted them for a quote, so now have a few options. Thanks so much 🙏🏻
