Do people get more pain during IVF egg stimulation if they have endometriosis and normally get pain on ovulation?

Bit of a long one. I have stage 4 endometriosis, though had surgery (3rd) this year to clear out most of it (didn't do too much to ovaries as AMH already low). I typically get pain on ovulation. Has anyone else been in this situation? Did they find that there was more pain during the egg simulation part of IVF? Starting soon and with ovulation pain currently really raging, is dawned on me whether this would be ten times worse when stimulating multiple eggs? Really excited to finally be starting IVF but just want to know as much as possible to be prepared 🥰

I don’t know if it’s everyone, but I definitely suffered with similar pains to my endometriosis ovulation pains but worse with stims especially on the side my ovary for larger as more follicles responded (and that also the side my endo and scarring particularly bad). Heat packs and paracetamol and TENS machine in use. It’s an added layer to manage but you’ll be okay. I did some gentle yoga to help relax pelvic floor as I think the pelvic floor tension in response to the pain just ramps things up especially with constipation caused by bowel endometriosis and then the egg collection process and meds. Squatty potty for toilet time helps. Take it easy! I did a lot of meal prep before my cycle so I had some easy freezer healthy meals but could focus on just what I needed to. Take care and best of luck xx

Thank you for your message. My last op I had a bowel resection as it had grown through. So I know all about constipation! I'm normally good at meal prep but hadn't thought about it for this but makes sense! I will be stocking up the freezer!! The TENS machine will be out and hot water bottle! I did think this could make endo situation more painful to start with. I already have endometriomas again and surgery was only in April. I'm so ready to get this part of the journey started now. Wishing you a he best of luck on your journey too. X
