I hope you are all ok. Since the egg retrieval on Thursday I am struggling mentally as on 9 eggs, 6 have been fertilised but at day 3 on Sunday they told us they are all developping in an abdormal way so we will probably dont have any transfer… I didnt anticipate this to happen on all of our fertilised eggs and wanted to know if anyone here experienced this too ?
Thanks a lot,

Hi Elga_05, so sorry to hear this. I'm just recuperating after 3rd egg retrieval, but its our 2nd using ICSI. In a similar story to you, our first cycle was 7 follicles, 4 eggs, 1 fertilised then it was abnormal and things ended on day 3. But our 2nd cycle was much better: 9 follicles 9 eggs, 6 fertilised, 5 developing normally (but slowly), and a double morula transfer that resulted in a clinincal pregnancy (but sadly m/c in 9th week). Our current 3rd cycle yield is much lower than 2nd cycle, despite feeling in much better health and fitness. So I guess my point is that it seems to be swings and roundabouts on each attempt, and you could have much better results next time (which I know is not really any consolation to you just now). Since my first cycle I am on all the supplements: Ovum, ferrous for low ferritin levels, magnesium, extra Q10 from PharmaNord, melatonin during stimulation, Huel protein powder. Hope that helps in a small way, hugs xx
1st cycle 2 embryos transferred, miscarriage at 10 weeks, 2nd cycle nothing to transfer, 3rd and 4th failed transfers.
2nd icis cycle was the most devastating for me and that by far has been my hardest time I think as I hadn't even considered that none of the embryos would make it to transfer stage.
For me I took about 10months away from treatment tried to occupy myself with other plans and now we are doing treatment abroad.
