Ovulation bleeding-when does the egg come timing wise?

I'm not sure if anyone will be able to answer this but on Thursday I had very mild twinges in my womb, me and my partner had unprotected sex (not a baby making attempt as I tend to have longer cycles and this was day 12 it also didn't feel like I was ovulating). On Friday I had a lot of wet, slick discharge with a tiny bit of blood in it, it was giving a STRONG ovulation sign in my view. I'm now away for the weekend. I've not been tracking my ovulation with LH testing as we're doing IVF for male factor fertility but normally I get similar discharge to this a few days prior to ovulating (minus the blood). I think my cycle is out of whack because I had a miscarriage not so long ago (in my last cycle I had ovulation pain and I'd ovulated twice that cycle, my body didn't give any other indications of ovulation which is unusual but a scan showed I'd double ovulated). I guess I'm wondering if I'm mad to think we accidentally nailed the timing this month? Also, does anyone know if the bleed happens at ovulation or days before? I won't see him again until Monday so I don't really know if we've caught this egg or missed the window. I figured we should loosely try naturally as his sperm has improved and my chance of pregnancy might be higher after a miscarriage. Any thoughts?
