A short update after waiting for TSH to go below 2.5 and changing the clinic - I was told that due to a small number of follicles (2-3 in total) and low AMH, I am not qualified for IVF.
I am sure there is someone out there with a similar case. The other clinic I had was also private but changed it because they insisted on IUI despite my TSH over 9.
Where I am now. I cannot cry anymore.
I have done HSG but they could not see the left tube (which produces follicles). My plan is to check it again if there is blockage or something preventing an egg from meeting its friend.
I am still not giving up.

Hi. Follicles appear on ovaries not Fallopian tubes. A egg should travel down a tube to meet the spern. In IVF ovaries are stimulated to produce larger follicles for eggs to be released into during treatment so eggs can be aspirated ready to fertilise. I wish you well. Diane
That is what I was thinking, in total with stimuli (for IUI) I had 2 follicles - one grew to be dominant 20mm. I am considering re-checking the left tube as it was not clear to ensure the path is clear. My AMH is 1.9 and IVF doctor said they need a minimum 7.
Could you share how many follicles they were able to collect? I was told by doctor that if I only have 2-3 in total then no point to stimulate, same chances as trying with IUI.
Vitamin D and Dhea can decrease tsh. Find out what your vitamin D level is. I took 3000iu a day for a year to increase levels and tsh lowered. You might need thyroid medication.
I find that this type of say “not qualified for IVF” is quite outrageous. No one should hear that. And there are many ways of doing an IVF, including with egg donation. I would change clinics.
Super, you’ve got this girl! A successful IVF also encompasses the choice of the right team, you will find yours. I read an article yesterday that said that a woman had asked her clinic to transfer a 4 cell embryo that standed absolutely no chance of development, but that her clinic let it be transferred anyway. At its stage of development the morula (it was actually a morula) should have had 8 cells minimum and had visibly stopped development). She had a baby girl out of this transfer. The author was saying that the vast majority of clinics would have refused to transfer it. Then there you go, pick up the right team and do everything in your power to achieve your dream. All the best
Morning Sarah, wow what a story, so happy she got pregnant in the end, what a stressful journey. I am trying everything and booked another clinic consul in December (earliest they had). I also just did blood test privately checking Dhea levels amongst other hormones. I heard a lot of good effect for women with low amh, low reserve and over 40. Thank you x
