my clinic said it’s impossible for your egg reserves to actually increase, you are born with the number of eggs you have and you can’t change it- but the AMH test is an indicator of what’s left and can be affected by a couple of things 1) the tests can get better and more sensitive at accurately predicting it/lab conditions can affect the test etc and 2) your AMH hormone levels can fluctuate slightly, especially at different stages throughout your cycle
My AMH actually increased from when I was 37 to when I was nearly 41 (not by much but still unexpected!) and they said their tests just got better. My egg collections were less eggs though and poorer quality (to be expected) 🤷🏻♀️ so I think AMH is just a rough indicator and defo needs looked at alongside a few other things! I hate that in some clinics it’s their only indicator of success/funding criteria! Xx
I know they say AMH doesn't fluctuate but it doesn't appear to be true! This year my AMH has gone from 12 (March) to 2 (June) and back up to 7 (July). I had a particularly bad case of COVID in May where I had a physiological response that affected my fertility system and it just dropped. And that month only one of my ovaries did anything.... I believe it can change depending on your blood testing company and how they measure and I personally think it fluctuates from month to month depending on how your ovaries are feeling too! And I am sure it can improve with good diet, increased circulation etc so sounds like you're doing all the right things xx
the levels of AMH can fluctuate a little throughout the month so results can vary. Mine went up from 32 to 57! If the two results are from different labs this can also affect the result a little. It doesn’t mean your egg reserve has gone up (as this is impossible) x
