Amh level increase

I had my amh retested last week, back in 2017 it was only 10. Just had a call today and they said it’s now 22! I was expecting it to be a lot lower, at least a little bit? Has anyone else’s amh increased after ivf? Or are bloods not reliable? X

Hi Lauracat. Well, that is surprising news! This can sometimes happen with FSH levels when peri-menopausal, but not aware of it happening with the AMH readings. Perhaps the first one was incorrect for some reason?? At least it's good news. Diane

Hi, I was told that AMH should not be tested after IVF as stimulation makes the results false.

That’s so weird I’ve never heard that! I’ve had mine tested a few times along the way and have had four rounds of IVF XX

Not sure how long the IVF impacts Amh as I am not a doc but you should check with your clinic. All I know is what I was told, ie not recheck in the middle of ivf cycles.

Hi there

Apparently, AMH levels fluctuations are common. I had to google that one too because my results were different when tested in different clinics. I came across an article saying that AMH levels differ as much as FSH levels.

Told yesterday mine have gone from 12 to 21 in a year! My consultant was so shocked she thought it was the result of another patient. Very confusing xxx
