Brown staining/spotting and discoloured discharge 8dpt5dt...HELP

This is our first round of IVF and I am feeling very niave. I took a HPT this morning as I was frantic waiting and got a positive line (faint but noticeable) but have had some cramping, dark brown spotting (like the start of my period) and brownish discharge this afternoon. I've had some clumpy brownish discharge due to the progesterone gels 2 and 3dpt but today is different. Is it possible this is just implantation or would that be a fresher blood? Should I start preparing myself for bad news now. We don't have our HGC test until next Tuesday.

I started stims on 3rd August, egg collection was 14th August and transfer was 19th so I'm currently 8 days post transfer.

Ok, yesh it could be implantation or just reaction to the transfer. Can always give it 3 more days and test if you really wanted to have an idea. But with stuff like that i think best to wait till your appointment or even give the receltion of the clinick a ring they can advise Got fingers crossed for you 🤞❤

A little update for those of you who replied to my original post. The bleeding continued to get worse throughout the week and was similar to a period with quite a bit of cramping. We decided to monitor the strength of the line on our pregnancy tests. Yesterday produced a strong stable positive on our strip test for us but today with a clear blue digital test we got a 1-2 weeks pregnant and a fainter line on our strip test today. We are slowly accepting the fact that this is it for our fist cycle. Its hard to find the words for thr emotions even though the bleeding had prepared me for a loss.
