Im 25dpt and got a BFP. Im booked in for a viability scan on the 29th December. Im slightly worried as I’ve started getting a light brown discharge (only when wiping sorry for tmi) - not alot but a bit. Its my first ever BFP and im paranoid something is wrong. I had sharp pain yesterday as well which I’ve normally associated with my period/fibroid so not sure what to do. Is the discharge normal?
Wishing you all a happy holidays (as much as possible in light of our situations) x

This week has been a bit of a rollercoaster as I bleed a lot. In my case it was bring red and with very big clots (sorry for tmi).
We went to A&E and it is a hemorrhage, so I have to rest. They told me that there is no way to confirm if there is any problem unless I go and they scan me. I am now having so brown discharged but nothing like the other days.
With this what I am trying to say is that you have to evaluate, or maybe monitor in case it goes to more, but I can tell you that when I saw all that blood there was only one thing in my mind: hospital now! If you need some peace of mind maybe think about going.
Thank you for getting back to me! I can imagine how you must’ve felt. I’ll see how it goes and probably will pop to the A&E if it gets worse.Good luck to you as well x
Hi lovely, this happened to me twice. Once the night before my BFP and the next 2 days before my viability scan which also come with feelings in my stomach that I associated with my period starting. Anyways all was fine and there was a very healthy baby. Wishing you all the best xxx
Thank you for taking time to respond! I think it was the combo of the spotting and the pain that made me worry more. I’ll see how it goes and hopefully things are ok at the scan on Wednesday!
Best to speak with your clinic or local doctors/EPU to be sure everything's ok. If you've not had it checked already, it may be worth having your progesterone tested to see if you need more support - I had bleeding and spotting that stopped with additional progesterone. But some women also get spotting/bleeding throughout without any obvious reason and everything's fine.
Thank you! My clinic is an NHS one so they wont open until Wednesday and the local EPU is closed as well. I’ll see how it goes and go to A&E if it gets worse. My progesterone levels were fine is what they said at the last check but its been a while so will probably ask about that too!
I had light brown / pink spotting / bleeding. My progesterone was low and my clinic increased my dose. Can you ask them on Monday if you can increase the progesterone dose before doing a test if not harmful? Good luck!
Thanks Mary! They said lets see the scan first and decide and thankfully it was all ok so for now they want me to continue taking the meds as they are but to let them know if there are any issues
Scan went fine - everything was well. My pain and spotting was also made worse by one of the Fibroids I have, looks like its getting bigger which didnt help. Dr said not to worry and just carry on with the meds for now. Hope all is well with you
That is amazing to hear, really pleased for you. Unfortunately for me it was not to be, nothing on the scan so likely a chemical or very early miscarriage. X
