Help - Oral Utrogestan side effects

Hi all,

I am 5w2d today, on Friday we've seen our little bubble measuring 1.9mm and the sac measuring for 5w6d - that's from the good news.

From bad news I've been told to stop taking Lubion because after 12 days of taking it I started getting severe alergic reaction - terribly itching red patches around injection site which shows around 2 days from taking injection.

My consultant told me that I can't carry on taking them, and also blabbed that it seems I am not absorbing pessaries well either and we are out of options of what I can take. He prescribed me oral progesterone (Utrogestan) as a last resort which I need to take 2x daily 200mg.

Today evening I took the first dose and I feel terrible dizzy, it's bad enough that I was unable to walk by myself otherwise I was falling, and also I had "helicopter" like the one you get after drinking too mych %% .

Did anyone had similar side effect? Is there anything what helped with it? I don't know what to do with this. I hope it will pass quickly.

This is a common side effect for oral use. I took it orally as I had a bit of irritation downstairs....I took it at work after my lunch. I felt completely out of my face for around an hour....not ideal. My clinic suggested I could take it just before going to sleep which helped. Oh and the other tip is not to take with food.xx

Thank you, I called my clinic today and they told me just to stop taking it... and how they said it- "hope for the best"

Well it definitley helps to take it at bedtime so maybe worth trying if it gives you peace of mind. I slept like a baby.🤣 Good luck.xx
