Hiya, I've recently started my 2nd round of IVF meds. Does anyone know whether it makes a difference if I inject fyremadel into the thigh or the tummy?
I did it in the thigh because that's what the instructions said on the leaflet, but now I'm thinking about it, I think the nurse said to do it on the tummy along with Gonal F.
I have a little white lump on my leg (it looks like the liquid is sitting under the skin), so I'm worried I did it at the wrong angle and it won't be absorbed properly. Anyone had any experience of this?
I just started it on Saturday and the clinic is closed over the weekend, so I can't check with them!

I used fyremadel and was told by the nurse to inject into my thigh - I didn’t do any of my injections in my stomach. It did sting more than the others & did leave more of a raised mark but all was well 🙏🏼 x Good luck x
I’ve always injected Fyremadel In my upper thigh. It’s not a pleasant liquid and I would sometimes get sore skin / red skin after the injection. I remember I used to ice the area right after injecting to feel less pain ☺️ Good luck with everything and baby dust! 🧡🧡🧡
Hi - I have also used Fyremadel and injected into my thigh. And like Kate it stung and there was a lump / rash at the site of insertion - apparently its a slightly thicker needle. Nurse said I could also put it into my tummy but tbh I really didn't want a third injection a day into my tummy! As long as you dont mind limping a bit immediately after I think you've a choice as to which you'd prefer xx
Thank you! That's also why I thought I'd do it in my leg. I already have some bruises on my tummy. It's reassuring to hear other people did theirs in their leg. I suddenly thought I'd made a big mistake!
