Trigger injection area pain

Today at 8.45pm I injected the trigger shot. (RIGHT THIGH)

Felt nothing. Thought yes! I've become a pro at this!

Boy was I wrong!

After 2 hours I did something silly. Started sweeping my kitchen floor.

I went down to sweep it all up AND that's when I felt pain! Like I've been punched so hard!

I don't know if it's from the injection or if I have burst something after squating down.

I'm lying down in an awkward position now.

Can't move. Every move hurts. Ouch!!

Did anyone else feel pain like this?

I don’t remeber having had this experience after trigger shot. Hopefully your thigh was tender and you’ve just overdone it a bit. Maybe try putting some ice on it and rest up a bit x

Hi. I called the emergency number. The nurse advised me to take a paracetamol. I feel much better now. Although I struggled to sleep last night. Thanks

Hi, yes I had pain after that trigger shot and wrote a post on here at the time as I was worried!! I couldn't sleep or lie in bed without it hurting (mine was in the stomach) It didn't go til the next day but my clinic wasn't concerned as long as the injection site looked OK (which it did) and it eased off the following day.. Hope you're feeling better now, good luck 🤞 xx

Hi. Yeah having the pain killer helped.

Still feel the pain but not as much as last night

I had this after taking my trigger on Monday night, I am not keen on Gonasi! Took mine in my tummy, it came up like a red burn and didn’t go down for 24 hours, in fact I’ve had egg collection and can still see a slight red mark. It was really quite painful especially if touched. I rang my clinic and they reassured me it wouldn’t affect egg collection and it didn’t- I had 16 eggs which is more than on previous occasions. Waiting to see if they’re suitable for icsi now. 🤞🏻
