I had my first round of fresh ET in May, got a negative pregnancy test result 2 weeks later followed by AF the day after. It's now been 45 days and Ive not had my subsequent AF. Has anyone else experienced a delayed AF during IVF? What is the longest delay you have experienced? Any tips to help balance my hormones quickly? I note that my cycle is normally regular between 28-20 days so this is very unusual.

Yep - ivf meds can seriously mess with your cycle. It should correct itself though so try not to worry X
This is completely normal. The first bleed after stopping meds is a withdrawal bleed rather than a proper period. The next bleed is the first period and this is often delayed. After my fresh transfer, which failed, stopping meds and withdrawal bleed, I think it then took the first real period took about 58 days (which is the longest I've had, the failed frozen cycles were a little less, I think about 38 and 42 days for the second bleed or first period after) It is irritating but nothing to worry about, it will settle again within a few months it's just a side effect of the meds.

After failed transfer it can take up to 3months for your period to return to whatever is the norm for you

Thank you all. The hospital took a blood test this morning to check my hormone levels and doctor has advised that I should take pills to induce my period. Has anyone else been offered this? What are the pros and cons? Should I wait for my period to arrive naturally?
