I have been prescribed steroids for my most recent transfer. Fortunately I was lucky enough to get a positive this morning on test day.
I was prescribed lansoprazole a PPI to protect stomach whilst taking the steroids. My husband has gone to collect top up meds to cover me for the next 3 weeks. However they won't prescribe me any more lansoprazole. Told to take gavison or get it prescribed from GP.
I'm just wondering what anyone else who was prescribed steroid was advised to do.
Thanks in advance and wishing everyone the best of luck. X

Oh OK that makes me feel a bit better. Been reading up and I think omeprazole is better than lansoprazole in pregnancy but good to know that's it's not a complete necessity x
I also wasn't prescribed anything alongside steroids. I didn't notice any abnormal effects from them and I do have a standing prescription (with my own gp) for omeprazole as i have acid reflux but I don't take it.Have you noticed any issues taking your steroids?
Thanks you. No I haven't noticed any issues since taking the steroids so far and have been taking them with breakfast. Only thing I've been vomiting since yesterday so just worried I'm not keeping things down which may cause more irritation (not complaining and happy to have these symptoms) x
I had the worst phlegm throat and gut issues taking steroids but stopped taking milk in my tea and it kinda stopped. Only had steroids and no other meds alongside other than progesterone jabs and pessaries.
Taking steroids in the morning with food was fine with me, didn’t need anything to protect my stomach - they just advise don’t take it on an empty stomach as it can cause acid issues.
I also was prescribed steroids but nothing to protect my stomach. I did get quite a painful stomach at times earlier on, but realised if I always had a large breakfast (porridge) before taking the steroids it was OK.
Hi all, is it possible for you to message me the clinic that has prescribed prednisolone please? I've had 15 miscarriages all at implantation after a PPT. I believe it's NK cells but my nhs Dr says they can't prescribe prednisolone for this as its off license and she doesn't know what dosage to give. Thank you!
