I recently had a medicated FET had a positive test and was super excited. Then started experiencing pain so my clinic referred me to the EPU due to history of ectopics. They scanned me and said they could see what looked like the starting of the sac but not quite big enough to confirm so took bloods then repeated them every 48hrs. Well they called me yesterday afternoon to say my latest bloods show my hGC has dropped to 5 so I'm not longer pregnant I asked what would happen next as I haven't had any bleeding. The lady just said from our perspective your not pregnant now so we don't need to see you again and that you probably won't bleed until your next period. She then said if want more information speak to your clinic. I'm waiting for a call back from my clinic but in the mean time can anyone give me some advice on what to expect now? I would of been 7 weeks yesterday.

Trigger warning, miscarriage advice
no advice I’m afraid but just wanted to send my love. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I got my BFP after FET but my first beta hcg was low. Waiting for my follow up on Monday but not looking good. Such a tough journey isn’t it ☹️
I'm sorry you're going through this. It sounds like the EPU was a bit blunt but I've had the same experience, and from my clinic too - there can be a perception that because it was 'early' somehow it's not painful, or a loss. I've had three after transfers, between 5-10 weeks, and it still stings when they're brushed off because they were before 15 weeks. It's not right, or sensitive, but just so you're prepared for that. In terms of what may happen now, hopefully your clinic can advise, but in my experience if your HCG has gone to 5 then your body has let it go. It may sound insensitive (and it really isn't intended to be) but that should mean no complications and your body has dealt with it naturally, which is the least worst option, but I know still incredibly upsetting. Are you on progesterone support still? If so, this can stop you bleeding and you'd normally get a bleed a few days after you come off. If not, typically you would have a bleed around or shortly after the HCG drops to the level you're at. It could be very light, or heavier than normal, it depends. Then your body can take a bit of time to reset and ovulate, or go straight back to normal, and you then get your actual period. If you're worried though, or you get heavy bleeding, pain or a temperature, or you feel unwell (flu-like) then go to your GP or get back in touch with the EPU.
I’m so sorry 😢 I’ve had this a few times and my experience is once I came off the meds bleeding started between 2-8 days later and had some stronger than usual cramping and heavier bleed. The physical bit worried me but it was okay in the end but the emotions and hormonal drop was hard to take and you will want to have support around you and be very kind to yoirself for the next few weeks, thinking of you xx 💜
Thank you all for your replies and sharing your stories with me I'm sorry you have both gone through similar. I think unless someone has been through it they just don't get it and are not very understanding. My clinic did call me back yesterday afternoon and were far more helpful and kind than the EPU. They said as the embryo had attached but then stopped developing it could take between 2 and 10 weeks for a bleed to come and they've booked me in for a free scan on the 24th of May just to check everything is gone and all is ok. I stopped my meds on Friday so hopefully the bleed will come sooner rather than later. I have a good support system in place and have requested a sick note from the GP so I can take some time to mentally recover. I had an ectopic a few years ago I was back in work a week after the op and it was far too soon so this time I'm going to make sure I'm ok before I go back.
