Cyclogest pessaries

We are due to go for our FET on Saturday this week. I had my LH surge this Sunday at 10:30am. I always thought that the transfer was 5 days after? Which would be Friday? I am just wondering why our transfer is Saturday/ Not Friday? Or have I got that wrong?

Also, I’ve been advised to take my progesterone support starting on Thursday.

My consultant said I could start it 2/3 days before transfer.

I thought that would be Wednesday?

does anybody have any experience of when to start the pessaries before transfer.

We’ve had a couple of chemicals now and our anxiety is much greater than before.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

I started my pessaries 6 days before transfer. I guess it depends on your clinic protocol? Best to check with them if you are unsure.

I have always started my pessaries 5 days before transfer. I’m due FET Tuesday and will be starting progesterone and all other meds tomorrow. But if unsure contact your clinic as I know a few people who have required 6 days rather than 5.

Good luck with everything x

Thanks I’ve asked my clinic and I’m now taking pessaries. So that will be 5 days ahead of transfer. Good luck with your treatment too!

That’s brilliant. What date is your transfer? Wishing you all the luck in the world. Do let me know how you get on x

Mine has always been calculated by hours, as there is optimum window to transfer based on what my consultant told me. So I’ve always started progesterone 121 hours before transfer. If you’ve had the ERA etc test that may show a different number of hours for optimum transfer. You could go back and query this with the clinic of their data points for optimum transfer window.
