Thin lining at 5.6mm for FET - Any tips?

Hi all,

Looking for some reassurance..

I am due to have my FET this month (fingers crossed). Has my initial scan on day 9 which showed a triple layer lining - which my scanning nurse said looked great however my lining was quite not ready and was measuring at 5.6mm. She advised anything that is 7 and above, would be ideal for transfer. She also told me not to worry and this is normal for day 9 however I am an overthinker and do worry! I am currently on Progynova 6mg a day to thicken my lining, eating healthy etc and having acupuncture. Due to have another scan tomorrow which will be cycle day 12. Is there any tips on how I can get my lining thick, fast? Is this something to worry about?

Thank you ☺️

Hi Lovetravelling,

I am preparing for the same, this are a few tips for what I'm currently doing:

1)Acupuncture 4 before transfer and 1 planned after transfer on the third day.

2)Fertility Yoga - youtube.com/watch?v=D9gzjW9...

3) Beetroot x Orange Juice every morning

4) L-arginine supplement + Vitamin D + Folic Acid + Omega 3

5) A healthy diet based on lots of antioxidants/honey / less caffeine

I hope this helps 😇

I had the same issue. Lining wan not thick enough (day 13 of Progynova) and I was asked to continue with Progynova for 4 more days. At the following scan lining was 7.3 and I was given the ok for transfer (it will be Sat 20th if embryo thaws nicely). No worries, you can do it 💪😊

I cut caffeine (just one coffee in the morning to survive), ate Brazil nuts, drank lot of water and had at least 30 mins walking everyday for blood flow.

Hello lovely, mine was the same and all was fine when I went back. It’s just annoying having to travel in and pay for another scan!

I did acupuncture too. Eat lots of warm food and drink only warm drinks and keep your feet warm on the day of transfer and the couple of days after. Just think - you want your body to be a lovely, warm cosy place for the little emby to settle in.

I’m just starting my FET cycle for a sibling. Fingers crossed for us both xx

I was advised by my consultant to take vit e to help thicken womb lining. Good luck with your transfer x

Don't know if this is a silly question but do you know - is the vitamin E good to take only on transfer cycle or better to start taking it in the cycles preceding transfer cycle?

I was told to take pre transfer and stop once I had a transfer. Then on the occasions when my transfer had failed, I started taking them again in prep for the next one. I was on a 1000iu. Hope that helps x

l-arginine definitely helps I believe and unused it on all my FET’s. I think sage is often spoken of as being helpful too although I didn’t use it myself.

Hi! I took one glass of pomegranate juice a day in the run up to and after my last FET. It is supposed to help with the lining. Good luck!

I ate a lot of walnuts, drank a glass of pomegranate juice, took Impryl and ended up with lining on a thicker side, 14.7.

hi Raspberry Leaf tea or tablets (tablets from Holland and Barrett) and pineapple cores are supposed to be good for linings - also mild exercise to stimulate blood flow. I stopped raspberry tablets on the day of transfer and I had lubion injections prescribed- good luck !
